It’s cold at the top. There really is truth to this saying. In the last 8 months we’ve been under constant attack from competing SEO companies from all parts of the world. Earning top spots right left and center has really earned us some enemies. As of December 2007 we lost 8 domains on the basis that it was typosquatting. Obviously this is so far from the truth as it can be. All of these 8 domains were highly developed SEO domains which were ranking very well in the serps. But sadly competitors of ours had older mistypes of these very popular domains and claimed ours to be typosquatting. Sadly the registrar believed them and we lost the domains.
So be careful as a newcomer to the SEO market. Your competitor does not play fair.
